A little about me
After childhood and University in Melbourne, Amanda left the city behind to embark on a series of rural experiences. Marrying Ben led to active involvement in family stations in the NE of SA and Western NSW.
Amanda and Ben then spent two years on Thistle Island in the Spencer Gulf, where they provided logistical support to the Navy and managed Thistle Island for the shareholders.
The SE beckoned, so Island life was swapped for farming. Amanda and Ben ran a successful livestock enterprise for seven years.
Towards the end of this time Amanda developed an interest in share trading and embarked on this as a part time occupation.
2008 was spent travelling Australia with Ben and their two sons George and Doug. This was followed by a year on a remote NT cattle station where Amanda traded shares full-time.
Amanda spent 4 years as a Financial Planning Assistant before joining the team at Ottoson Partners.
Amanda has been actively involved in the varied communities in which she has lived, including Governing Councils for her sons’ schools, a volunteer ambulance responder in Beachport, member of the steering committee for Beachport Surf Lifesaving club and much more. Her interests centre around her family, making the most of her boys and the special coastal environment where they live.
Camping, surfing, gardening, supporting children’s sport and schools, in combination with a stimulating business day all make for a fulfilling and happy life.
